A 3V screw spike is a type of rail screw spike, also known as a sleeper screw, that is used to fasten rails and sleepers in a railway.
Description
A 3V screw spike is a medium or large metal screw with a threaded nail rod surface and a head with a square or rectangular section.
Purpose
3V screw spikes are used to connect steel track elements to wooden or concrete sleepers. They are typically fastened into holes bored into the sleeper, sometimes with plastic dowels.
Specifications
3V screw spikes can meet the requirements of NF F50-006, Class 4.6 and 5.6. They have a minimum tension strength of 700 MPa, a minimum elongation of 12%, and can cold bend 30 degrees without cracking.
Materials
3V screw spikes can be made from materials such as Q235, 35#, and 45# steel.
Surface treatments
3V screw spikes can have a variety of surface treatments, including plain oiled, black painting, zinc, HDG, and more.
A railway lag screw, also known as a sleeper screw, rail screw, or lag bolt, is a large metal screw used to secure a rail base plate or rail. They are often used for rails with wooden sleepers, especially in the United States and Canada.
Railway sleeper screw provide a mechanical interlock that delivers more than twice the holding power of conventional hammered railway spikes. Railway sleeper screw spikes are commonly used to fasten timber railway ties and sleepers, and they can also perform conjunction with plastic ferrules that have been casted into concrete ties/sleepers.
We can supply railway drive screw with various thread profiles, lengths, diameters and drive heads, which allow them to suit specific geographic requirements.
