Self-Tapping Railway Timber Screw Spike
Screw spikes consist of a head with a square or rectangular section with a round collar as well as a threaded part with a single thread of a considerable height and a considerable pitch.
Screw spikes are used to connect steel elements of a track structure with wooden or concrete sleepers. Depending on their type, screw spikes differ in terms of their length, pitch, and thread height; the mandrel diameter of the threaded part; and the dimensions of the collar part. One of the most commonly used types of screw spikes is square head screw spike.
One of the main advantages of screw spikes is their ability to grip the sleeper tightly, reducing the risk of loosening or displacement. They are also relatively easy to install, requiring only a drill to make a hole in the sleeper. Screw spikes are also resistant to corrosion and rust, making them ideal for use in harsh environments.
